Welcome to our Community

The City of Dover is a small town nestled in the foot hills of the Ozark Mountains, and known as “The Gateway to the Ozarks.” With a population of 1,378, our residents enjoy the comfort of living far enough out in the country, but living close enough to have the convenience of a larger city. We are the home of the Dover Pirates, and our school system services children from kindergarten through high school.

Dover City Hall is located at 8904 Market Street on the south end of town. Any questions about municipal services can be answered there. Feel free to call us at 479.331.3270 for more information.

Ozark Memories Day is an annual cultural event held in Dover on the last weekend of September. OMD, as we like to call it, is both an expression of the past and of very modern future. At OMD you can find modern foods but historic recipes, contemporary friendliness and 1800s hobbies, modern bands and choirs, plus songs and dances of yesteryear.
