Minutes Special Called Meeting February 27, 2024
The City of Dover in Pope County, State of Arkansas, met in Special Called Meeting, February 27, 2024, at 6 pm at the Dover City Hall. The following were present: Mayor Roger Lee presiding and the following alderpersons: Brent Hottinger, Russ Warhurst, Chris Walker, Connie Ragsdale, Carl Wetzel and Fred Standridge.
Absent: Attorney Luker
Mayor Lee informed the council of the need to open a new bank account named, “Water Reserve”, to separate the water/sewer “Depreciation Reserve” account with the following signers: Roger Lee, Vonna Marpel, Christina Walker, Rebekka Standridge. Alderman Fred Standridge made a motion to open the new account giving the above names authorization to sign. Alderman Walker 2nd. A Voice Vote. Yeas: 6. Nays: 0. Motion Carried.
Alderman Standridge made a motion to transfer $44,899.96 from “Depreciation Reserve” account to Water Reserve account. Alderman Walker 2nd. A Voice Vote. Yeas: 6. Nays:0. Motion Carried.
Alderman Standridge made a motion to change the name of the “Depreciation Reserve” account to “Sewer Reserve”, with the following authorized signers: Roger Lee, Vonna Marpel, Christina Walker, Rebekka Standridge. Alderwoman Ragsdale 2nd. A Voice Vote. Yeas: 6. Nays:0. Motion Carried.
Alderman Standridge made a motion to transfer $260,000.00 from “Reserves” account to “Sewer Construction” account and add Rebekka Standridge as a signer to the “Sewer Construction” account. Alderwoman Ragsdale 2nd. A Voice Vote. Yeas:6. Nays:0. Motion Carried.
Mayor Lee informed the council of a new proposal for property located on Hwy 7 across from the auto salvage yard.
Alderwoman Warhurst made a motion to adjourn. Alderman Standridge 2nd. A Voice Vote. Yeas: 6. Nays: 0. Meeting Adjourned.
